Our Story
Profit-for-Purpose
At Home on the Grange K9 Ranch, your dog’s stay does more than give them room to roam — it helps build something bigger. Founded by Mary Charles Howard, this unique dog boarding ranch operates under a profit-for-purpose model, with 100% of profits donated to the Georgia Hi-Lo Trail — a visionary project to create the longest paved trail in the state and connect rural Georgia through nature.
Mary Charles is no stranger to dogs or trail building. A lifelong animal lover and former owner of Five Points Four Paws in Athens, GA, she brings years of trusted pet care experience to the ranch. Alongside her husband, she now lives on a 100-acre farm where they’ve built meandering trails through pastures and forest — the perfect playground for dogs to explore.
At Home on the Grange, dogs don’t just get excellent care — they experience ranch living, with trail walks, fresh air, and wide-open space to sniff and stretch. It’s a place where pups can truly feel free, and owners can feel good knowing their stay supports a greater mission.
